ROCHDALE

Relatives of Mrs. Lydia B. Denny, formerly of this place, have just received
news of her death, which occurred in Greenville, IL, the 11th inst. Mrs.
Denny was the widow of Reuben S. Denny, who built the two large woolen mills in
Rochdale and manufactured flannels and cassimeres for several years.
Of Mrs. Denny's nine children, most of whom were born in this town, but two
survive, viz, Clark K., late postmaster in Greenville, IL, and still in
business there, and Frank D., teacher of elocution, and formerly well known in
Worcester and Boston.
The remains of Mrs. Denny will be brought to Leicester for burial.

Thanks again, Marcia: I also have a photograph of the gravestone at Pine
Grove Cemetery at Leicester!

Yours ever,

Geoffrey.
