Hi listers,

I worked a Telechron much later and I believe the Worcester plant was at 2
Main Street. I remember seeing a picture of vacuum tubes produced at Warrren
Telechron during the war. War contracts were quite lucrative and there was
lots of money to be made if you had the equipment and space. Henry Warren
started off built synchronizers for the grid. This branched out into the
production of synchronous motors and their related clocks and timers. They were
eventually bought out by the folks who bring good things to life ...... General
Electric. The Worcester building was eventually closed and all production
was moved to Ashland, MA.
