Sherry and Listers,

Thank you all, and, yes, I have learned to ask at our library. Our Muskegon County Genealogical Society Website is a fairly new project for Muskegon. You can find my special story as a featured article on the website:

http://www.rootsweb.com/~mimcgs/

I am the woman who started this whole conversation about the TAG 1998 article. The man, "Rod," whose question I answered, notified me and thanked me, because he was able to order a copy right online, and he only had to pay $6.00. That is the wonderment of the Internet and all of these Mailing Lists and Message Boards, but if we do not participate, we learn nothing. Last night, I was awake half the night in excitement, because I had participated in a Steuben County Message Board, and a woman recognized my LITTLE family, and she just might have linked my recent LITTLE family with the early New England LITTLE family. This is so much fun but I think I am going to have to hire a staff, if I don't quit finding ancestors and living relatives! Better yet, I think I might need a "Shrink for Genealogists" soon!

Lois (Griffes) Kortering
My Mayflower passenger ancestor lines discovered so far:

1. Stephen Hopkins m. Mary (?)

Elisha, Jr. m. Delight Beals, daughter of Joshua Beals and Priscilla Paine. After Elisha, Jr. died, Delight, supposedly, married John Hayden, brother of her daughter-in-law Mary "Molly" Hayden, but I have not seen evidence of that, yet.
Ensign Litchfield m.Mary "Molly" Hayden, daughter of Noah Hayden and Memima Damon.
Laura Litchfield, their 11th-born, married Orson Mitchel Griffes, grandfather of my grandfather (My grandmother was Leota Belle (Jones), descendant of Stephen Hopkins. I learned of my Richard Warren decent on May 20, 2003

Priscilla Webb, daughter of Peter and Ruth (Bass) Webb m.Samuel Hayden
William Hayden, m. Lydia Kierstede
Noah Hayden, married Jemima Damon
Mary "Molly Hayden, m. Ensign Litchfield
Laura Litchfield, m. Orson Mitchel Griffes
Ensign Beals Griffes, m. Catherine Margaret Little

Orln Mitchel Littel, m. Olive Viola McDonald
Lois Emorene Griffes

I learned of The Mullins/Alden Mayflower line on Father's Day, June 15, 2003 after many months e-mail correspondance with an 83-year-old wonderful woman, who just had a serious back surgery two days ago in California. I talked to her on the phone right at the hospital last night from my home in Michigan to California, and she is doing fine! She had 4-5 lower vertebrae fused and will have to wear a "Clam Shell" brace for a few months.

I have sent my Richard Warren line and the Mullins/Alden line to the librarian at Plymouth, asking if there are any accepted memberships that match even part of my lines. She found ONE that matches my Richard Warren line down to Mary "Molly" Hayden, but I haven't heard, yet, about the Mullins/Alden line, which, of course, includes Molly Hayden's family.

Yes, I am getting information almost too fast, now, but I love it all and would not change a thing about my life right now!
