I am seeking to make contact, and to share MAYO family history notes, with
any descendant or researcher of the family of my cousin, Henry MAYO,
described below.

Henry MAYO was baptized in Rampisham, Dorset, on October 23rd., 1842. In
Q4 of 1861, in Beaminster district, Henry married Susan HALLETT and they
lived in Rampisham. At the 1881 census, Henry 38 was a labourer in
Rampisham. Susan, aged 40, was buried in Rampisham on December 16th., 1882.
At the 1901 census for Rampisham, Henry 58 was a rural postman, living with
his daughter May 23. Henry, aged 60, was buried in Rampisham, on April
16th., 1903. Henry and Susan had issue, including:

o Emily Jane Mayo, baptized in Rampisham, on May 28th., 1870 (I.G.I.
extracted);

o Mary Ann Mayo, born in Rampisham, in about 1877 (census of 1881); at the
1901 census, May 23, an assistant teacher was enumerated in her father’s
home at Rampisham.
