I have a Patrick Hangs McCaffrey born 1792 in Ireland. Perhaps he is kin to your John? I have been trying to find his Irish connection as he came to Quebec about 1828. I only have record of his son Charles born 1807 and his 2 daughters Ellen born 1857 married to Dennis Houley and Bridget born 1861 married to Daniel Houley. Both in Ste Sylvestre, Que. They are cousins.
Any info would be much appreciated.
