James W. McCollum (9 Nov 1815-5 Mar 1893) and Elizabeth ? (20 Apr 1823-5 Jan 1894). From SC but in Chattooga C GA for many years and buried there in SC Campground Cemetery. James had a sister Sarah Amanda McCollum who married Samuel Walker in 1834 in Clarke C GA. Samuel and Sarah are my gg grandparents. James had a son John W. McCollum who was a witness at marriage of my g grandfather Henry Clay Walker and Arminda Jane Rice 21 Jan 1879 in Chattooga C. I found John W. McCollum in the Mortality census for 1880 with his death caused by tuberculosis and his occupation as Photography Artist. His family number is same as for the James W. McCollum family in the regular census confirming the identity.

I am trying to go back in the McCollum line to possibly connect with my Walker line back in SC.
