I'm wondering if there is a possible connection. My GrGr Grandfather was Robert McConnell b. 1818 in Ireland and married to Rachel Hampton, b. 1817, Ireland. They immigrated to Canada and lived in Middlesex, Township of Mosa, Ontario. Some of their children names are George, John, Isabells, Martha and Hannah (Annie) who is my GrGrandmother. I don't know where in Ireland they were from to search further.
