Hello -
The little research I have done (Arizona Historic Society):
Lorenzo and Gregorio were twins born to Richard C. McCormick; details of their mother are sketchy. All we have is a first name - Paula, of Mexican descent. Lorenzo married Angelita Serrano and she gave birth to four sons and one daughter(my mother), all have passed. Gregorio had a ranch outskirts of Tucson (at that time), by the Rillito River. I understood Gregorio had never married but he fathered a daughter. He grew tobacco, a little known fact to this day here in Tucson. The oldest son born to Richard McCormick was born in 1901 and his offspring are numerous (California, New Mexico, Tucson). I had read Richard C. married twice as well. I believe he was married when appointed to the Arizona Territory and again to the daughter of a political figure in Ohio (Taft ?; don't remember exactly). Richard C. founded the Tucson Citizen newspaper and I recall reading he advocated for Spanish-language translation on English material for this community; I recall this b!
it because I myself as a volunteer worked for the same here recently (local government notifications).
