Sounds like you may be on the right track. Phil, welcome to the McCracken search. What is your line? Watch out for first cousins with same names and approximately same ages. Phil,do you have any idea who wrote your lists, or when they were written, perhaps copied from someone's Bible record?

WOW!! WOOOOW!!!

I have an outline from Jill McCracken that lists all the same info on a John Lytle McCracken, except he was born Feb 12, 1797. Everything else matches.

She only has 4 children for him, Nancy, Joseph, Robert, and Margaret.
Didn't have Mary, Amanda, Edward.

I would LOVE to see that! Perhaps my great great grandfather James (born circa 1820) is in there somewhere!! His son was Edward....

Something tells me I am going to go McCrazy before this is all over.....but it will never be over, huh?

Hi,

I have some unconfirmed information on a John Lytle McCracken, b. Nov. 25,
1796, d. Apr 12, 1861 and was married to a Margaret Willson. b Apr 5, 1796.
both burred in Waverly, Tenn. They had 7 children, Nancy J., Joseph Wilson,
, and Margaret Elmyna.
All were born 1824 to 1837.

Robert Lytle McCracken was born February 12, 1832 in Humphry Co., Tennessee.

This is not of my line. The information is hand written on more than 20
legal size pages. It appears to be at least three generations. No
references are given although the dates and names are very specific.
