What else do you know about Alexander McCracken, especially place of birth? I know that some researchers believe he was born in Scotland, some believe he was born at sea prior to arrival at Philadelphia and others believe he was born in Pennsylvania. He was married in Delaware in 1750 to Abigail Fayle, the great granddaughter of Quaker minister William Edmundson. At some point, the family moved to Orange County, North Carolina. Later, some moved to Orange County, Indiana.
