Thank you so very much for sending the website address where the Webb book "Centenary of
Catholicity In Kentucky" is posted. It is a marvelous source of information and 'Page
246' deals with the beginning of the SISTERS OF CHARITY OF NAZARETH of NAZARETH and has
much written about Elisabeth "Betsy" WELLS.
I spent the last two days reading many of the chapters and have learn alot. It
the book Mr. Webb wrote about many of the Catholics who migrated from Maryland to
Kentucky, mentioning also, members of their families and what happened to many of those
individuals in the family.
The book is very interesting, very easy to read and the chapters are basically
self contained and can be read in any order.
Several of the incidents mentioned in Mr. Webb's book are also mentioned in the
letters from Elisabeth WELLS to John CLOSE.
This book is a marvelous work and I am so very glad you pointed us to it!
