In his will drawn up January 9 1798, Zachariah Johnston of Augusta
County, VA, left to his son George land "in Kentucky purchased of the
Revt John McKee...lying about nine miles from Lexington."

I've not encountered a Rev John McKee in Kentucky of that period--he
would have conveyed the land to Johnston sometime earlier than 1798.
Can anyone identify him for me?
