Many of these McKee's came to Ky from Rockbridge Va via PA. I'm far from and expert about them as they are my brick wall. My own John McKee was born 1797 in Franklin Co, Ky and I believe they came there when the county was still I believe Anderson Co , broken down to Franklin.
