Albuquerque Journal - May 7, 2003

Vennel McKee, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, May 4, 2003. She is survived by her daughters, Kay Jackson and husband Herbert of Houston, TX, and Frances McKee of Albuquerque; son, Daniel McKee of Lakewood, CO; sister, Muriel Lewis of Muleshoe, TX; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Bennie McKee in 1999. Mrs. McKee grew up in Davidson, OK, and traveled the world with her husband. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Mrs. McKee loved bowling and was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is deeply loved by all her family. Services will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Michael Jackson, Milton Jackson, Herbert Jackson, Dan McKee, Leif Gunnerson, and John Gunnerson.
