Notes: THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, December 28, 2000: 'BOGATA Deon McKeegan, 54, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Wood Funeral Home Chapel of Deport, with the Rev. Ray Evers officiating. Burial will be at Tugle Springs Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Bogata. Mrs. McKeegan was born Jan. 2, 1946, a daughter of John Thomas and Geraldine Wilkins Shelby. She married Gleyn McKeegan Dec. 20, 1999. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Geraldine Shelby of Blossom; three brothers, James Shelby of Grant, N.M., Bobby Shelby of Hurst and Jackie Shelby of Blossom; and two sisters, Ethel Arrasmith of Detroit and Diana Merritt of Blossom. She was preceded in death by her father and two sisters, Tommy McKeegan and Julie O'Toole.'
