I am surprised no one has ever asked about Peter McKee of Washington Co, bordering Westmor. Peter is an unusual name for a McKee, but I have his will and a cousin who spent much time on research, only to find it to be the wrong line. His family were large landowners, and in his Will are sons John, James, Thomas, Samuel and dtr, Margaret. I can't tell which are my family or his on deeds.
Near Hannahstown, in Hempfield Twp, neighbos went together and built small forts for family protection from Indians.
When the troops left, they sent a petition to Gov. Penn, asking that they return. Some of the men who signed are Samuel, David, Robert and William McKee, along with the Brownlee bros., whose families were massacred and names who intermarried ith my Samuels kids. This is why I think my Samuel died in an Indian war. I don't know why, I cannot find Rev. War veterans. Anyone, where do I look for Westmor. Co., Pa.
