I don't have time for this now, so please excuse the mistakes so I can type fast.
This is the first time I've found anyone interested in the kids of old David. As you probably know, thee are two families with the same names of kis, one settled down in ? Rock, Va.?? showing a David who came to the Monongahela fork with wife? and the other, which I think is the correct one,bout 1769, came with Wife, Margaret, from another Pa. spot. Both are said to build he ferry.
My David and Margaret, according to Davids will in 1793, had these kids: John McKee, (wife Sally Redick, founder of McK Port (lost a fortune)due to her Judge brother

David left a pony to Gr.sons, David & Robert

Margaret and James are not on the Va. list of kids; they show an Elizabeth we don't have. My Saml is a close suspect of being a son, but he had been dead 15 years and kids were grown when the Will was read.
MY SAMUEL AND ROBERT LIVED NEIGHBORS, RODE TOGETHER IN REVOL., ROBERT A CAPT, SAM A SGT. THERE IS A MEMORIAL DAY SPEECH MADE AT GREENSBURG CEMETERY IN THEIR HONOR IN 1930s? calling them bros., but this was all in westmorland co, where they had all recd free land, as did the mckees around nearby McKspt., in Alegheny co. I canot prove they are Davids kids, but someone claims they are Robert's.
When Saml was killed, David and Robert were petitioners in Hannastown Orphans court to help mother, Margaret.
Have you read about McKeesrocks.
David was a founder there, but he is a cousin of the others. He was a tory spy; Washington sent someone to watch him Doubt we ever get this cleared up. Donna
