I do not have any info regarding this Matilda McMee but I do have a McKee
family in Ontario (Wentworth Co.) about this time line who emigrated from
County Down, N. Ireland. Do you any other information about your Matilda
and her parental family that might tie into my information.

Carol Lee (Taylor) McKee

News Death Notice

McKEE, Carol Lee (Taylor) 60, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the
Lord on the afternoon of January 15, 2009, in The Ohio State University
Hospital, Columbus Ohio surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in
Ironton, Ohio July 16, 1948, to David Platt and Louise McCain Taylor, and
was a member of Triedstone Baptist Church before moving to Springfield at
the age of 15. She graduated from Springfield South High School and Columbus
Business College. She had a dedicated interest in genealogy and
was a member of The African American Genealogy Group & Miami Valley. Carol
served for many years as Assistant Treasurer of The Antioch Publishing
Company. In 1986, she branched out as an entrepreneur and became co-owner of
a clothing boutique. She found her niche working at the boutique, and it
provided her the perfect outlet to showcase her creativity and share her
passions in life with others. She enjoyed spending time laughing and
reminiscing with family and friends. Sh!
e had a kind heart, a sense of humor, and an infectious laugh that will
forever be cherished by her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving
sister, aunt, and friend who leaves to cherish her memory three brothers,
Marshall and Frank Taylor & Ironton, OH, and Jacob (Cheryl) Taylor of
Springfield, OH; one sister Bertha Johnson of Detroit, MI; special nieces
and nephews with whom she was raised, Edith Austin, of Jacksonville, FL,
Donna and Mary Taylor, of Columbus, OH, Jacqueline King, of Ironton, OH
, William Royal, of Detroit, MI, and James Taylor of Ironton, OH; nephew
whom she helped raise, Brian Taylor of Columbus OH; and a special great
grand nephew whom she doted upon, Chris Taylor of Columbus, OH; dear friend
Harold House of Springfield, OH; special friends, confidants, and business
partners Doris Smith (deceased) and Cheryl Taylor of Springfield, OH; and a
host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in
death by her parents; her husband!
, Samuel McKee; three sisters, Florene Thompson, Thelma Taylor, and Al
lene Mayo: two brothers, James and David Taylor; and special niece Ogreta
Royal. Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7 PM at Porter-Qualls
Funeral Home with Rev Claire Boyd-Williams officiating. The family will
receive friends beginning at 6 PM. Family and friends in Ironton will honor
her memory with a service at 1 PM at Triedstone Baptist Church with Rev.
Richard Carter officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 12 PM.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ironton, Ohio.

Seeking any info on Matilda McKee born Ontario 21 June 1853,or her husband
Robert McFadden born Ont abt 1845. They lived in Essa, possibly the south
west corner. She was a widow by 1901 census: Children: Margaret~1872,
William~1877,Robert John~21june 1882*(my grandfather), MaryJane 16 Mar
1883(married John Walcom), Blair 'Wesley?'(poor spelling in both records),
Earest(Ernest?)F. 1 sept 1889.
