Alice McKeefrey married John McCorran just after the Irish civil war in about 1926 so far as I can recall. Alice McKeefry died in 1995. John McCorran on 7th January 1979. They had one son, Kenneth Thomas Victor McCorran (now dead) and five daughters albeit the youngest Lois died in infancy. Four sisters (incluing my mother Mary Norris McCorran) remain alive. Three of the sisters (Mary, Joy and Joan) are resident in Ireland and one (Shiela) in England. So far as I am aware there are about 13 grandchildren of Alice McKeefry - most are resident in the United Kingdom.
The public house run by Alexander McKeefry is in the town of Maghera, County Londonderry on the main street and is now the Northern Bank. Alexander McKeefry, according to his tombstone in Swatragh Roman Catholic Church yard died 18th June 1922. His wife had predeceased him on 31st October 1907, I understand, the day after the birth of their last child.
Most of their children emigrated to the USA during the 1920s or the 1930s depression and only Alice remained in Ireland.
