This won't help you much, but for what it's worth: my 4th gr grandad was Samuel, died 1780 with 5 minor children, in Westmorland Co., Pa.
next to McKeesport. Articles say Samuel rode with his brother, Capt. Robert, also Westmor. Co., with children the same names. They were always having to fight indians. I've tried to connect with David,
the immigrant father of founding father of McKeesport, John. David also had a son, Robert, 1740-1782 but there is only a slight possibility my Saml. was his son, possibly they were cousins as there are many similarities to the families.
There is also another Robert in Westmorland who was an army man during the same time period,(late 1700's) and of course, the McKee way, they always named their kids the same names, after grandfathers. (Many Davids). Many died middle aged, and can't prove it, but since they were all given land to live in the outlying areas to protect villages, and I have found petitions from McKees, asking Gov. Pitt to send troops, (the wedding day massacre was on property next to my grandfathers) I think they died in indian battles.
I have a lot of info, especially on the children of David the immigrant. I have his Will, if you are trying to trace back to him. (1710-1795, I believe, without taking time to look it up.) Donna
