Sounds like your Alexander should be one of the easiest to study, as much is written about the one with an indian mother. I believe it was Juniata Co., father was Thomas, as I recall, where he was raised, and as an adult he was in Westmorland Co. Because of his indian mother he was able to trade with them and influence them greatly.
It's a long story and he is not in my line, but he was in Fort Pitt and when it became obvious he was a Tory and ran for his life, he went with several other notorious man named Girty. He flew a French flag at his second home near Pitt.
He fled to Canada where he was highly regarded. I don't have time to get out records and make this more accurate but there is much written about Alexander
