My grandmother Alice Harriety McMains was born in Louisville Kentucky about
1905 and her father was James Madison McMains, he worked on boats on the
Ohio River and lived in Jefferson County

James Madison McMains was born about 1861 in Kentucky

his parents were

William McMains
and Caroline Lisbia, (I do not think her last name was spelt correctly)
