I'm on holiday just now and keep getting carried away updating things then keep snoozing until midday like a lazy so and so which isn't good LOL.

Details in full are:

2nd January 1914 at The Manse, Lugar according to the Church of Scotland

John McMurdo, Coal Miner aged 21, No 167 Commondyke married Sarah Jane Brier Muir, Domestic Servant aged 19, possibly Brebank at Lugar


Parents:

James McMurdo, Coal Miner and Elizabeth McMurdo, Ms Collins (deceased)

John Muir, Carriage ? and Agnes Muir, Ms Lowie


Witnesses:

George McMurdo and Maggie Muir

James M. Young, Minister of Lugar

Er by James McMurdo d 3 Sep 1929 age 73 IMO wife Elizabeth Collins d 4 Jul 1898 age 36 son John 25 Apr 1887 1y8m son Robert 11 Apr 1897 5wks fa in law John Collins 29 Aug 1885 age 47 2w Emily Hancock 23 Mar 1924 age 59 grandson Jim McMurdo d Kilmarnock Inf 29 May 1937 age 22

It looks as if that 1893 ish son John died ...I've got another John was aged 8 in the 1901 census ...so born about 1892/3..presumably he is the one who married Sarah. Did you get the ages and therefore birthdates from the marriage cert?
