1. SR. CHARLES1 ANGELL was born Abt. 1734 in Maryland, and died 1810 in
Frederick, Maryland. He married JULIANNA Abt. 1761. She was born Abt. 1734
in Maryland, and died Bef. 1810.
Notes for SR. CHARLES ANGELL:
His will was recorded on 7 Jan 1811 in Will Records Book #1, page 149,
Frederick Co. MD Apparently he ws a man of considerable wealth and of good
standing in the community. He lived in Fredrick Co. for at least 48 yrs.
Census indicated that at least the sons most probably are MD natives. It
should be remembered that Carroll Co. was part of Fredrick Co. prior to 1836
He signed his name as Engell. he was executor of the will of John Gingling
of Fredrick Co. MD from 4 Sept 1770 to 16 SEpt 1774. He also appears to have
been pioneer of Myers Dist #3 which consisted of mostly Germans from Yor and
Lancaster Co. PA.

to 12, 1796: Poll taken at the Court House in Frederick Town in and for
Frederick County. Began on the second Wednesday of November 1796, being the
Ninth day of the same Month and continued by Adjournment ____ day to Day
untill the Twelfth day of the same Month inclusive for Electing an Elector
of the President and Vice-Presidnet of the Unted States of America to wit;
Candidates: John Tyler (Federalist voters marked F) and Geo. Murdock
(Democrat-Republican voters marked D-R)
Charles Angel (D-R)
Charles was apparently on of the first pioneers of Myers Dist #3, which
includes the towns of Union Mills, Myersville, Silver Run and Piney Creek
Station according to Scharf's history of Western Maryland, V2.

This family above I am looking for the cemetery in Frederick area. I don't
know where to look...

Some of the cemeteries of Frederick Co. are listed on

You'll have to be more specific about what area of
Frederick Co. (city/location) and what time frame
exactly you are looking for to get more help. It's not
a tiny county and is pretty spread out.

Take into consideration that parts of Frederick became
Montgomery Co. in 1776, Washington in 1776, Carroll in
1837. Also part of Washington became Allegany in 1789.
Frederick itself was created out of Prince George's in
1748. So it is confusing pinpointing exactly where
something is now that was called 'Frederick Co.' at a
particular point in time.
