I went to the Garrett County Historical Society today, to see if I could find anything on a Garrett Steel (or Steele) or John Steel.

I checked the Maryland's Garrett County Graves Vol II, the Steele Cemetery, Friendsville, MD (copied June 8, 2002 and Rechecked Aug 17, 2003) and could find nothing on a Steel or Steele buried there.
