Okay, I have it. Sardis Cemetery, Sardis Chapel Cemetery, and St.
Lukes Methodist Cemetery are the same. I just received an off
list email aying they had a transcription that showed:
*ST*. *LUKE'S* UNITED METHODIST CHURCH (Old *Sardis* Chapel),
*St*. Michaels, MD
So I went to the St. Lukes United Methodist Church website and
found the statement below.
I then went t I guess it all depends on when what I am reading
was written.
A BIT OF HISTORY...
*Methodists began worshipping in the St. Michaels area in 1774. The
first building was built in 1781 on St. Mary's Square. It was named
"Sardis Chapel" in 1812. By 1839, the church outgrew the original
building and it was torn down, and a new building put in its place. By
1869, the second building was also outgrown. The people this time
decided to build on Talbot Street at its current location. The present
building was completed in April 1871. In 1954, Sardis Chapel Methodist
Episcopal Church united with the Methodist Protestant Church and was
renamed St. Luke's Methodist Church.

*I then saw the cemetery search on what I think is your page is it not
Kathi?
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cemetery/maryland/talbot.html
Whoever did that page I am glad they included that search link. I found
several cemeteries I had been looking for in only a few minutes time
with all kinds of information including GPS coordinates, alternate
names, etc. of each. I highly recommend folks using that link to the
search!

*There I found St. Luke listed and it says:
*
Variant Names
Mount Olivet Cemetery
Olivet Cemetery
Sardis Chapel Cemetery
