Hi Andrea - I have access to the Index via Ancestry.com - I am a member of
that site. With regard to your requests, I found one Eckenrode in Carroll
Co. in 1860 as follows:

1860 ECKENRODE WILLIAM A. . Carroll County MD, Pg #1002 Taneytown District,
Federal Population Schedule MD, 1860 Federal Census Index , ID #MD23533304

I also found one "Righter" in Carroll Co. 1860:
1860 RIGHTER DAVID, Carroll County MD, Pg #656 Union Town District, Federal
Population Schedule MD, 1860 Federal Census Index ID #MD23591999

I could find no Richter's in 1860 in Carroll County.
