Hi - I think I found a child of your James Annable. He is not with his
parents S(James and Margaret) but it indicates he was born in Cuba so I'm
giving you the info. He was living with a family by name of Stebbins or
Stibbins:

1850 Hampden Co. Springfield Twp pg. 70
Roderick Stebbins age 51 Peddlar b. MA
Elizabeth Stebbins age 55 b. MA
Edward E. Stebbins age 13 b. MA
James A. Annible age 10 b. Cuba
Ruth Stebbins age 80 b. MA

I did a very broad search using wildcards (i.e. Anna***, Anni***, Ani***,
Ana***) and also tried multiple variations of the name, as well as Soundex.
None yielded a James or Margaret under any spelling. I will tell you with
the multiple spellings of the names that Mass had tons of Annable's with
multiple spellings. Being that your James was a seaman, he was likely away
at sea during census time and his wife was working for wages, possibly living
with another family.

Hope some of this helps.
Linda

<< I am seeking a James Annable (surname spelled MANY ways) who was probably
about 30 and a seafaring man. His wife was named Margaret and she was born
in Cuba, I believe. She was 25. Audrey Annable Frankli n>>
