Subject: [MD-CENSUS-LOOKUP] Robert & Amanda SMITH / 1870 / Baltimore?
Date: Mon, 31 Mar 2003 10:21:48 -0500
Hi,
I am seeking an Amanda SMITH who had parents, born Maryland, and since
Amanda was born circa 1861, they were likely born circa 1835+/-10
years.
Since the list was too huge to work with, I narrowed that down to
any SMITH having a mother *also* named Amanda, and this single
instance appears:
Robert H. SMITH b abt 1831 MD
Amanda E. SMITH b abt 1835 MD
Location: 16th Ward, Precinct 4, Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland
FHL Film: 1254503
NA Film: T9-0503
Page No: 85B
There is no daughter Amanda, there, in 1880. Mine had married to
Wilson Jr FITZGERALD. Hence, there should be a gap in the children
in 1880, that would allow for that Amanda. There is. There is a
chance - perhaps a good one - that this is the family. Would you
be so kind as to look for such a family in the area in 1870? That
may be an insurmountable task, and if so, please ignore this
request...
Thanks,
Vince Summers
