Tina- found some info to confuse the situation.... There are 4 William
S. Thompsons, in MD, born in 1852 in the 1880 census.
The one you mentioned, who lives in the Tucker household, has a wife
named Bessie S. They are in the 15th Ward. They have children Wm W age
2 and Bessie C age 3 months. William is a steam boat engineer. His
father was born NY and his mother PA.
There is another in the 18th Ward, with a wife named Annie, but he was
born in MD. He was born in MD not PA. Per our previous correspondence,
this is your man, because their children are Wm 5, George W. 4 and Lilly
M. 1. William is 28 and a fireman. His parents and Annie's were born
in MD. So were all of his kids. Annie is 23.
The other William S.'s age 28 are: one in the 9th Ward who is single and
one in unknown ward who is also single....
