Hello Everyone,

I'm sending this notice to all the mailing lists that I administrate so you may receive
this more than once if you're subscribed to any of my other lists or some subscribers
may not receive it at all since rootsweb mail is bouncing.

When rootsweb changed their mail servers today, Jan. 19th, they also changed their
IP (internet protocol) address. Consequently, there may be a number of email
servers that won't recognize the new IP address and this means that mail will start
bouncing back to me. Unfortunately, AOL has already blacklisted (rejected)
this new IP address, so I can't receive the bounces through my address.

I have temporarily set up a working account through yahoo under
to hopefully, get through this confusion.

Volunteers, when answering a census request, I
suggest that you send your reply to the normal rootsweb list address, (for the
list archives) but also send a copy to the requester's private email address,
in case their email is bouncing.

If any of you notice that you're not receiving list mail, but you have received a
private reply, contact me at the yahoo address, or my private email , and I'll see if your email provider is bouncing rootsweb mail.

I hope we can get all this straightened out within a week or so, so everyone please
be patient.
