Thanks alot for your very informative reply.
I had wondered about the birth/baptism record. Usually everything is very
complete and I did not know if it was to be moved into 1806 for christening
or back to 1804 for birth. I think your suggestion of 1804 is correct. I
never had access to the book itself -- just a notation with no other dates
to judge how it corresponded chronologically.
The census information is perfect -- exactly what I needed. A 19 year old
William in 1850 corresponds perfectly with William Joshua Kepler being born
2-22-1831.
The Mary Magdalena Young is the mother of that head of household (John
Kepler (1804-1879) you cited, not his wife. Elizabeth would be his only
wife. John's father was named Johan/John and he was the husband of the Mary
Magdalena Young you asked about..
The immediate neighbors -- Daniel and John are Conrad's grandchildren, not
actualy his children, as is the cited head of household.
