Since you have that many Lancaster County, have you anything on the
Stemple/Stembell/Stempel?
In particular on either a Nicholas or a Godfrey. I have a will on a
Nicholas and he seems to disinherit
a Godfrey, but I have two Godfrey Stempel or Stemples in Washington Co., MD
in 1790. One of the
latter is likely one who bought a large tract that eventually became known
to be around Aurora in
WV. Could the other be his oldest (and unidentified) son?

Fishing for clues.
