Thank you Pat! I agree with you. I was new to a different list once and made a mistake with my first query. My query also generated a lot of very rude and snide e-mails on the list. Even the list moderator responded with rude and snide remarks. Needless to say my next response to that particular list was that I was sorry and I would never be back, as I was very embarrassed. It was a degrading experience. If someone would have e-mailed me with the proper etiquette, instead of putting me down, I would probably still be on the list. Let's not be like them and scare people away! Let's welcome new people and help them learn. We were ALL beginners at some point.
