Bonnie, I saw your posting for unckles. I have the book This was the Life
Excerpts from the Judgement Records of Fredrick County, Maryland 1748-1765.
I remember seeing the name Unckle Unckles. So I looked him up.
Unckle Unckles
August Court of 1762 page 239 Unckle Unckles petitions the Court to have
Susannah Youngblood, the daughter of John Youngblood, bound to him. The
Court postpones action until the next court.
August Court of 1763 he is listed on the Grand Jury.
November Court of 1763 Unckle Unckles in a petition to the Court states
that he "has had in his charge for this 7 or 8 years past a certain Henry
Miller,an orphan child that cannot in any shape be of any help to himself
and cannot so much as go anywhere but as he is carried by another person or
so much as help himself to eat but so as he is fed by another person."
Henry is 17 years of age now and difficult to care for. He therefore asks
for some maintenance help from the County, The Court rejects the petition.
Uncle Uncles
November Court 1750 Caleb Dorsey sues Uncle Uncles on a small debt of 333
pounds of tobacco.
August Court 1752 Listed on the jury for two different cases.
