Subject: [MD-Fred-Gen] Burch Lineage
Date: Tue, 28 Nov 2006 07:12:26 -0600

Our Burch patriarch was: Thomas L. Burch Sr. b. 1746 in Ireland

d. 17 April 1844...Monongalia, VA
- he enlisted in Revolutionary War - June 1776 (enlisted
for 6 mos. in Flying Camp in Maryland)
- abt. 1777 he married: Mary Gray in Montgomery Co.
Maryland ...near Senica (sic) Creek
...an affidavit by Ann Bates of Menallen Twp.
Fayette Co. dated 14 Nov. 1844, was filed in support of Mary Burch's
application for widow's pension. verifying the
marriage in Montgomery Co. Maryland.
- Thomas Burch Sr. completed 1 yr. of military service &
after the war, moved his wife & family (6-7 children) to Fayette Co. PA

Since Montgomery Co. was created from Prince George's Co. or Frederick
Co. Maryland it is potentially possible that there are Burch records in
one or both of those counties. 1767-1776.

I'm actively seeking Burch lineage descendants who can share family info.

I feel that Thomas Burch Sr. came to America as part of a family unit.
We need to identify that family unit...be it parents & siblings or some
other relatives.

Could someone please help me???? Thanks!
