It was a site, in reply to a request I had
made wondering how to find out what ship an ancestor could have come on. I
don't know why it was necessary to send a download.

A couple of weeks ago there was an alert about a Kathleen
who was sending a virus. It must have really fouled up some computers.
Anyway, in a couple of days after the alert I got 3 e-mails from her with
downloads which I did not do. I wrote and told her I did not download from
people I did not know. The next thing you know, I was getting apologetic
e-mails saying she had a new computer and the anti-virus program that came
with it wasn't working; that she did not realize she was sending out viruses
and that I should scan for that. I had already done it.

I don't know what makes people so malicious.
