ISO the siblings, antecedents, and descendants of the family of
Charles Herrmann Marion Walther born Jul 1836 Salva, Baden - died 1916
Washington, Tenleytown, NW, DC. He owned a large track of farm land in
Tenleytown and had a produce/grocery store in Georgetown. He did not serve
in the Civil War.

In 1850 two of his siblings came with Charles Herrmann Marion Walther from
Havre to the USA on the ship "Bavaria". They were Louis Walther 1832,
Cathar Walther 1834, but we have no further information about them. On the
3 Oct 1850 the three Walther's arrived in New York. Records indicate that
the three Walther's were from the province of Wurtemburg. We should like
to find their descendants and any other information that anyone may have.
We are interested in exchanging information.

Charles Herrmann Marion Walther had two wives:
First wife: married 13 Jul 1857 Esther Ann Wolford 1842 DC - 1882 DC -
fourteen children
Esther Ann Wolford was the daughter of Sarah McDonald Paxton 1823 MD -1879
DC & George W. Wolford died bef 1849
Second wife: married 30 Dec 1882 Alice Sophronia Deakins 1866 DC - 1923 DC
Alice Sophronia Deakins was the daughter of James W. Deakins b abt 1835 MD -
d bef 1866 & Susan Elizabeth Wolford 1843 DC - 1880

Esther Ann Wolford & Susan Elizabeth Wolford were sisters
Esther Ann Wolford, Susan Elizabeth Wolford, Henry C. Wolford 1844, and Mary
A. Wolford 1847 were the children of Sarah McDonald Paxton 1823 MD -1879 DC
& George W. Wolford died bef 1849

Alice Sophronia Deakins was the niece of Esther Ann Wolford

Sarah McDonald Wolford nee Paxton was married on the 30 Oct 1849 to John
Ellsworth Chappell 1821 VA - 1907. They had ten children.

Charles Herrmann Marion Walther had 23 children. Fifteen of them survived
to maturity. Does SKS know who the other seven were? Or anything about
them?
