You must be right, because my electronic place finder shows Annapolis as
part of Anne Arundel County. That's what I get for trusting my memory, but
I knew that at least some cities were independent. I live in Virginia,
though, and that IS a true statement here, because ALL incorporated cities
are independent of any county here.

I could be wrong but I don't think so.
I believe that Baltimore City is the only city in Maryland that is
independent of a county. Annapolis is WITHIN Anne Arundel
County. Annapolis certainly is included in Anne Arundel County in the
Census and all other records.
