Jennifer: Thanx for your replies, they were very helpful. Somehow I had
Michael Joseph as a son of Roy and Olive, rather than George and Vivian,
without any other information (no birth date or anything else) that would
have given me a clue that something was wrong. When I correspond with
someone I always like to see how we're related, and you are about as remote
as I think I've gotten with the same last name--we're 7th cousins, which
means our nearest common ancestor is the original immigrant, Hans Filipp.

Hi again...didn' t complete your request in the first reply. Roy and Olive'
s only son was George William Sponseller. Born not sure when (early 1900'
s...I can check his headstone for accuracy...he is buried along with Olive
and Roy at the New market (MD) Cemetary)). George had one son, Michael
Joseph (born April 8, 1942 and still living), with Lillian Louise Leakins
(norn 10/9/17? and died 12/10/03). Michael married Margaret Anne Kelly on
Jan. 17, 1962 (divorced 1986). Their children are Jennifer Kristen
Sponseller- me- (born 4-25-70) and Michael Anthony Sponseller (born
9/17/73). Neither Michale A. nor I are married. Our father was remarried on
Aug. 27, 1986 to Elizabeth Allman Brinkely Willson.
Michale Joseph has a half- sister, Sally Ann Grimes, but she is his maternal
half- sister and not a Sponseller.
