I was told by someone at the Maryland House of Correction in Jessup that old
prison records (1926) were destroyed. An e-mail I received from the MD State
Archives states that they have prison records (on microfilm I think) prior to
1916. This doesn't make sense.
In 1926 the MHC was in Baltimore City. Has anyone on the list had experience
with trying to obtain prison records in Baltimore? Thank you.
