Joyce - I just checked another source that I do not use a lot, and found a place listed as "Dodson Post Office (historical)" which generally is a place name recognized by the post office but not officially named, and "historical" means it no longer exists, and this is in Garrett County in far western Maryland near Cumberland.

Also, there is a present day "Dodson Point," which is a cape in St. Mary's County, but not an official "inhabited place name." I hope this helps.
