Henry GITTINGER, 80, d. Friday at his home on the Portland Road, burial in Egbert Cem. He came to the county from Kansas in his youth and served three years in the Civil War. He was survived by his widow and brothers Robert of Tiffin, Scott of Kansas City, & Daniel of Elmore, OH. A son Charles died 24 yrs. ago.

There are some UHLER records at St. Paul's, Balto. (Henry) Philip UHLER & Mary had Adam Wm., b. 18 Feb. 1795; Philip, b. 28 Oct. 1796; Louisa (12 Dec. 1798 - bu. 2 Aug. 1799); & Eliza Mullen, b. 20 Feb. 1800.

FamilySearch says that Catharina GITTINGER, b. 3 Mar. 1790, bpt. 5 Apr. 1790, Ref. Lutheran, Manchester, Carroll Co., MD; m. 3 May 1808, First M. E., Balto., John PLOWMAN. Her parents are listed as Henrich GITTINGER & Elisabetha ULLER(IN). Do you have further data about Catherine and family? Do you know anything about the HOOKER family or "Hookers' Meadows"?
