There were many Booth families in Maryland. Here are a few references to show where the name James BOOTH and a few others occur in the records. The early records seem to have been on the Eastern Shore.

M & D fr. MD Gazette: The wife and three-year-old son of John BOOTH were murdered by one of his negroes, reported 16 Apr. 1754.

MD Calendar of Wills [to 1777]: George BOOTH, being sickly & crazy but of sound mind [ :-)], 22 Oct. 1762, 14 Sep. 1767. To dau. Eliz. & h. Wm. BRADBURNE. Sons George, John, Thomas, Richard, James, & Basil. Wf. Monica, exx. Wit. Wm. BRADBURNE, Wm. PAIN, John Baptist FARTHING.

There's a file on RootsWeb naming children of James BOOTH. [Click on Family Trees in the strip at the top. Then click "Advanced Search" on the lower left.] However, I'm suspicious of the information. It says that the wife was Elizabeth JOHNSON, b. KY, and that James BOOTH went to Kentucky in 1812 but married there in Jan. 1811. The births of the children are from 1818--no children for seven years after marriage and then seven?
