Hi, Virginia,

Actually, Borden Shaft (south of Frostburg & north of Midland on St. Rt. 936)
is the proper name of Shaft and is given that way on maps, even though everyone
calls it just Shaft. I didn't know there was another Borden in the area. Can
you tell me just where the Borden is that you live near since it is apparently
too small to be on any maps I've seen? (And I thought they didn't come any
smaller than Borden Shaft!)

On my Delorme software mapping program which shows just about every dinky
little town and back road in the country, I did find just north of Frostburg a
Borden Rd. and a Borden Yard Rd. off State Rt. 36 going into the area of the
railroad tracks, but no town named Borden. Are these roads in the area you
speak of, even though there is no town named Borden identified in the area?
