Sharon,
Hilary Willison, in his booklet, Pioneer Settlers of Flintstone, says that
Williams Road was named after a man named Williams. Cool, huh.
Well going up over Warrior Mtn from the old part of William's Road is "William's
Hollow", connecting at the top with the William Hamilton Farm. Now William was
known as a ladie's man and with 26 kids at home he may have spent many a night
looking for the ladies elsewhere, and blazed this hollow and road .
And the road blazed over the Indian Trail would have been the National Pike.
