Hi all,

I'm cheap and a nerd...which ends up being a pretty
good combination! There is a site www.cnet.com which
contains detailed product information about technology
including reviews by their management as well as
average folks. To me, it's like the Consumer Reports
that my parents always read.

When I thought about getting a pen scanner, digital
camera, and a bunch of other toys to play with in my
genealogy, I went there and checked out their reviews.
Between the Editor's Choice information and the
reviews from other buyers, I've ended up getting the
best value. But I also think it's important to buy
from a place that allows you to return if you are not
satisfied with the performance of a product.

As an aside...I love this list. The spirit of helping
and cooperation is unlike any other list I belong to.
And the wealth of knowledge here is unbelievable! I
hope y'all have a wonderful holiday season and that
the joy you spread comes back to you 10 fold.
