I am looking for information on Lefty Grove and his family. I was told by my father, Morris Barden that Lefty was related to his mother, Vivian P. (Grove) Barden, Dau. Vivian's father's name was Lemule A. Grove and her mother was Ida Mae (McMartin) Grove. Vivian was born in DeKalb, Ill. in 1898. I know that Lefty was formally Robert Moses Grove, born Mar. 6, 1900 and died May 23, 1975. He lived in Lonaconing Maryland where he returned after his baseball career was over. But that is the extent of family history I know.
Does anyone know who his father and mother were and if he had any siblings? I would appreciate any help I can get!
