As a "newbie" to this list about a week ago, I asked for information about my
great great-grandfather, Christian Kenneweg. As I explained then, I was
extremely surprised to have learned that he lived in Cumberland, having been
sure that my family lived in Pittsburgh since the time of their arrival in
the U.S. So many listers have been helpful to me - Thank You to all.
Now, may I ask for more? I live in Columbus, Ohio and don't have easy access
to either Pittsburgh or Cumberland. Can anyone give me leads on how I can
find out what happened to Kenneweg's Wholesale Grocery Company and how/why my
ancestors left Cumberland? I'm sure my grandfather lived in Pittsburgh but
don't have a clue how to learn about how or why the family move took place.
I'm not even sure that my ggrandfather actually made the move - possibly my
grandfather did that on his own ! !
Certainly would appreciate any guidance listers might offer ! ! !
