I looked all through the info that I have which was compiled by the late
Benjamin Johnson in 1988, but cannot come up with any of the names you have
mentioned.
I thought for sure I had seen a Benedict Johnson.

One of Mr. Johnson's books was given to me by his daughter after his death. Not
too many people have them. She said she was glad to pass it on to me, and if it
could be used.....all of her father's work would not have been in vain.

It is called the Progeny of Capt. Griffith Johnson (1734-1805) of Allegany
County,Md.and Some of Their "In-Laws". There are 324 pgs. in this book and it
lists various surnames, giving more info on some than others. There are about
8 pgs.listing
Johnsons, there are a lot of Twiggs, Chaney, etc.

BTW, if I can help anyone by giving info from this book.......don't hesitate to
e-mail
me. Just give me the name(s) you are looking for.
